multitude monday

First of all, it was Rebekah in the pictures on Friday. I never really thought that Sara looked as much like her as some of the other kids, but when I found Rebekah's scrapbook of her first year when cleaning out her room last weekend, I peeked through it and lo and behold, Sara looked just like Rebekah. I guess they really all do look a lot alike as babies! Funny thing is, I think they look really quite different as they grow older. Oh well. Good guessing!

Here's my continuing Multitude Monday post, which all started a while back, right here.

"One Thousand Gifts":

1272. seeing Kirbs' parents::1273. hotel with a pool {and BIG breakfast -- when there are 8 of you, the breakfast alone almost pays for the room}
1274. the kindness and generosity of people
1275. safety
1276. seeing my first clothes hanging on a clothes line for the season . . . snow on the ground and clothes on the line. some farmers wife in northwestern Minnesota on our drive home from Grand Forks TOTALLY made my day!
1277. playing the ABC game on the drive {and winning a time or two -- those Q's and Z's are tricky buggers!}
1278. being home again {I love to be home!}
1279. have you heard the phrase :: "Use it up, wear it out, make do or do without"?, well, we had a chance to "make do" during our hotel stay in Grand Forks. Who says you need a crib?::1280. a nearly snow-less yard
1281. a fun family dinner at my parents house {great to see those adorable nephews . . . and their parents too}
1282. a successful re-entry {not easy, mind you, but successful regardless} into post-spring break life
1283. a catch-up day at home with my "littles"

Alrighty, that's it's for now. Tune in next Monday for the next installment.

  1. i gotta say i just love how you "make do" and use a hotel dresser drawer for a baby bed! it's probably tons safer than a hotel crib anyway and doesn't look like she minds one bit, either.

  2. I, too, love the make-do baby bed! Just perfect! Loved your list today. What an encouragement to see the numbers you have reached in your counting. It just made me want to continue even more! Thank you for that.
