Flashback Friday

Remembering Papa::

Joe and his papa {my grandpa Carlson} enjoy a little one-on-one time in the fall of 2005::

Really, down on the floor? The man was 94 years old and he got down on the floor to play with his newest great-grandchild, baby Joe.

The whole family with Grandma & Papa on their last visit to Minnesota together in October of 2005::

Such a good sport playing with the girls::

3 years ago today my papa went home to be with the Lord. Just under a year ago my grandma joined him. I miss them.

What wonderful memories you have of him. The tradition of great parenting seems to have come through the generations. Hope you had a great week!

Sweet Shana, you have such a precious tender heart! Having never met your grandparents, I'm struck by {surprise} how much your dad looks like his father. I don't have many memories of my grandparents, and the ones I do aren't warm and fuzzy.

What a wonderful gift and a blessing they were and still are in your life.
